Frequently Asked Questions

Don't see your course?

The most commonly reported issue with Brightspace is not being able to find your course. Before you contact the IT Service Desk, here are a few things to try.

Verify your registration and NetID

Make sure your NetID is active and verify your class registration in Albert.

Check back near the start of the semester

Many instructors don't create their courses until close to the beginning of classes.

Not all instructors use Brightspace

If yours does and it's almost the start of the semester, contact them to verify it's been published.

Tip for faculty: If your students are reporting that they can't find a course you created, make sure that it's been activated. Need assistance? Reach out to your school's Ed Tech support contact.
