Important Information

Tuition and other student charges are set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year.  The Board of Trustees of New York University reserves the right to alter the schedule of tuition and other student charges without notice.

Modification to Programs and Offerings: Information on NYU’s tuition and fees, as well as NYU’s requirements, course offerings, schedules, activities, mode of instruction, tuition, fees, facilities, services, operations, offerings, faculty, administrators, and calendar of the University, its schools, departments, and programs, are published and maintained in communications including policies, academic bulletins, brochures, flyers, websites, and the Albert student information system. Such communications reflect then-current expectations and, as a result, NYU reserves the right to periodically make changes or updates. Such changes as NYU deems necessary may include, but are not limited to: the elimination of the school, programs, classes, or activities; the modification or cancellation of scheduled classes or other academic activities; and the relocation of or modification of the content, modality, format or location of any of the foregoing. NYU will attempt to provide reasonable advance notice of any changes as appropriate under the circumstances, and students should consult NYU’s communications and websites to remain up to date on details for any specific program(s). NYU will make any changes consistent with federal, state, and other applicable regulations or standards concerning accreditation and other regulated University and program requirements.

Force Majeure: While NYU generally expects classes, services, events, programs, schools, facilities, and other University offerings and programming to proceed as initially planned, at times NYU may need to cancel or modify the foregoing due to circumstances outside of the University’s control. NYU assumes no liability for interruption, cessation, or modification of classes or other activities due to public health, safety, or security concerns, facility closures or restrictions on access mandated by law, fire, flood, weather, strike, war, pandemic, act of God, or other unforeseen events, or force majeure. This Tuition, Fee, and Refund policy applies in the event of any changes, and NYU shall not be responsible for the refund of any tuition or fees in the event of any changes.

By paying tuition or enrolling in or attending classes, a student agrees to all of the above terms, which are distinct and independent.
