NYU is beginning to reopen our Campus Without Walls for in-person campus visits. We’re rolling out the purple carpet in phases for everyone’s safety and comfort, and registration is now open for registered guests who wish to experience NYU in person. Keep checking this page for new and exciting opportunities, and join our mailing list to find out when you can join us here on campus!

In-Person Opportunities

In-Person Guided Tours

One of our NYU student ambassador tour guides will lead select groups through an outdoor tour around NYU. These smaller tours, while created with your safety in mind, make for a more personalized experience.

In-Person Visitor Guidelines

Our top priority is your safety and comfort while joining us on campus. Here’s what to expect in preparation for and during your visit:

Vaccine Requirement

In advance of your visit, please be informed that NYU requires that you be up to date on your COVID-19 vaccinations, which now includes a COVID-19 vaccine booster if you’re eligible.

Upon arrival, all guests must present a Photo ID and proof that they:

  • are fully vaccinated (meaning you completed your primary vaccination with a FDA-authorized or WHO-listed vaccine at least 14 days ago), and
  • received a booster vaccination, or
  • are not currently eligible to receive a booster vaccination. (Eligibility for a booster vaccination depends on your age, the type of vaccine you received, and the date of your last dose.)

Proof of vaccination must be in English and may be given in the form of the New York State Excelsior Pass Plus, a paper copy or digital image of a guest’s vaccination card.

If you are not up  to date on your vaccinations, you will not be able to participate in the guided campus visit.

What to Bring

If you're registered for a tour, print out your visitor approval confirmation email from the exception request form (or be able to show that email on a mobile device).

Don’t forget to bring a mask! You’ll need to wear one during the tour and inside the Bonomi Family Admissions Center. FYI: Your guides will be masked up, too.

If you're planning to take a self-guided tour, we still recommend masking up. The self-guided tour will be entirely outdoors, so you'll have discretion about when to wear it, but if you use the subway you'll need a mask!

Who Can Join Me?

To keep everyone safe and our tour groups small, each student may be joined by one guest over the age of 12 on our guided tours, but there's no limit on who you can take with you on a self-guided tour! Please make sure to choose the best option for your family, unfortunately, additional travelers may not wait in the Bonomi Family Admissions Center if you choose a guided tour, but don’t worry—there’s so much to do and see in and around our campus!

For access to our Bonomi Family Admissions Center, you must register for a tour in advance. Once inside, there are hand washing and hand sanitizing stations available if you need them.
