As part of NYU’s commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment, the Work Life office develops programming and resources that support full-time faculty, professional research staff and administrators with children. Additionally, consultations can be scheduled with the Program Director of Child Care & Education to help you navigate child care and schools in NYC.
New and Expectant Parents Support Group
The Work Life office is sponsoring support groups for new and expectant parents! New groups are being planned for the Spring 2022 semester. The 6-session group led by Meredith Fein Lichtenberg, who is a Parenting Educator, a Registered International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Certified Childbirth Educator.

Affinity Group for Families with Special Needs
The Work Life Office facilitates a virtual affinity group for families of children with special needs that meets every other month on Wednesdays from 4:00pm - 4:30pm ET. The intent of this group is to offer a space for families to share their experiences and build a community of support to learn together with other families at NYU. If you are interested in joining, please complete this brief Google form.
In addition, Work Life offers monthly virtual Office Hours on Fridays from 12:30pm - 1:00pm ET. Register for a time with this Zoom link if you have any questions or would like some assistance.
Support Group for Adoptive and Prospective Adoptive Parents
