Helga Yuan Larsen
Helga Yuan Larsen is the Program Director of Early Childhood & K-12 Education. Helga is available for one-on-one consultations to guide faculty and staff in accessing childcare and in navigating the public or private school systems. Additionally, Helga designs programs for the parenting community, including support groups, educational workshops, and other events, to elevate the diverse experiences and unique needs of families at NYU.
Prior to joining NYU, Helga served as the Director of QUALITYstarsNY, New York State’s quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) that assesses and provides quality improvement supports to child care centers, family child care homes, Head Start and Pre-K programs. She received her BA in Psychology from Barnard College and her MSEd in Early Childhood Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Helga is passionate about promoting the wellbeing of children by equipping and empowering their caregivers.
