Trust us: when you head off to your first day of classes, you’ll be a knowledgeable member of the NYU community with a growing circle of friends. That is, after you take part in one of our events just for admitted first-year students.
To register for an Admitted Student Event you will need to log into your NYU Applicant Portal and select the event you would like to attend.
Our signature event, Weekend on the Square, is a two-day extravaganza of tours, meetings, and workshops on everything you and your family will need to know about the university. We'll even have special events for NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai admitted students during the weekend too. It’s A LOT of fun; and you’ll get home with a bunch of new friend requests to confirm.
Also, spend time with some of our distinguished faculty members during the NYU Trailblazer series. At the top of every hour our Trailblazers will lead a 30-minute intimate discussion on their area of expertise. No separate registration required!
April 5th, 19th, 22nd, & 26th
If you can’t make it to Weekend on the Square, join us for Day on the Square! A day long event that allows you to learn more about your academic program, tour campus, visit a residence hall and meet student leaders from across campus. Events will be held at both our Washington Square Campus in Manhattan and at the Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn.
You'll start your day at the University Welcome Session that you signed up for online. The University Welcome Session will be followed by your individualized school session and opportunities to take a campus tour, get the low-down on living in the residence halls, and engaging with student groups and organizations.
March 1st & 15th; April 1st, 8th, & 29th
Get to know more about everyday life at NYU from the people who are living it. You'll start with a welcome from a member of the NYU Admissions Office followed by a Q&A session with some of our current students. Afterwards you'll be taken on a tour of campus that ends with a small reception where you can meet other current students and NYU staff.
Another place to learn more about NYU is from the comfort of your own home. Our admissions counselors and current students host online Q&A’s. So come hang with us and get the scoop on classes, adjusting to life at NYU, and the next steps for admitted students.
