The NYU Registrar’s Office helps you manage and verify your academic records throughout your time at the university and beyond. From updating personal information and requesting transcripts to verifying enrollment and accessing state or military benefits, you’ll find the tools and guidance you need to keep your records accurate and up to date. Use the sections below to explore your options and take the next steps.

Getting Started in Albert

Albert is New York University's student information system. Albert can be accessed two ways, via NYUHome or Albert directly.  Before you can log in and begin using Albert, you must activate your NetID.  More information for new students is available on IT's Tech Checklist for New Students.

New graduate Stern students should follow the New Student Registration Guide. Law students should reference the General Bidding - Registration Guide

Managing Your Student Records

As a student, you can update your student records in Albert to modify personal information (such as your name, address, and contact information).  Learn more about your FERPA privacy rights and how to grant consent to disclose information to specific individuals. You can also set up guest users to view specific information in your Albert Student Center.

Accessing Your Transcript and Grades

Whether you're applying for jobs, graduate programs, or studying abroad, you may need to access your transcript. Explore the difference between official and unofficial transcripts, and learn how to request your official transcript.

You can check your grades on your unofficial transcript after your instructor submits them to our office.

Enrollment and Degree Verification

Learn how to request official enrollment and degree verification for employment, insurance, or other purposes, including authentication and apostilles for international use. This section also outlines how NYU certifies eligibility for the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Whether you need documentation for benefits, service-related funding, or state aid, the Registrar’s Office is here to help you navigate each step.

Resources for Military-Connected Students

NYU is proud to support and their families throughout their academic journey. In this section, you'll find information on using VA education benefits, including the Post 9/11 GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon Program and Montogmery GI Bill® and benefits for spouses and dependents. Whether you're a veteran, active-duty service member, or a family member, the Registrar's Office can help you navigate the certification process and access the resources available to you.
