Join us on campus April 15–16 to learn all about student life and academics at NYU straight from our faculty and current students.

In addition to exploring campus resources and opportunities to find your community at NYU, Weekend on the Square provides a celebratory, inclusive atmosphere to connect with your future classmates. Plus, we have special programming for parents and families to help them support your transition to college life.

Registration Is Now Open

Registration for Weekend on the Square and all admitted student events is now open. All attending visitors must submit an online registration form to participate. To register, navigate to your Admitted Student Events Portal and follow the instructions.

Student Performances     

Student talent at NYU is unmatched. But don't just take our word for it; experience it for yourself and take in the many live student performances happening throughout the weekend.

Campus Tours and Room Shows

Let our students take you on a guided tour of NYU's campuses in Manhattan's West Village and Downtown Brooklyn. You’ll also have the opportunity to check out what it's like to live in an NYU residence hall. Many residence halls will be open for room shows and tours.

NYU Experience Tent

Stop by the tent on Gould Plaza or MetroTech Commons at the Tandon School of Engineering anytime throughout the day to pick up some NYU swag, and engage with staff and current student representatives from various student life organizations.

Makerspace Spotlight

Tandon admitted students will have the opportunity to meet faculty from across the Tandon campus and tour the Makerspace, a workspace lab created to foster collaborative design projects.

Student Celebrations

Celebrate your acceptance to NYU by joining your future classmates for one of our Student Celebrations. These daily events, taking place at the end of each Weekend on the Square Day, feature a silent disco with tracks selected by current students. 

Class of 2027 Student Reception

Admitted students only! End your day with some fun and music, and dance to tunes provided by fellow NYU students for a Silent Disco! Headphones and fun provided, BYODM (Bring Your Own Dance Moves)!

Parent Reception

Raise a glass with other parents to celebrate this momentous occasion for you and your families. Mingle with other NYU parents and meet University representatives.

Meet 'n' Greet with CMEP and the LGBTQ+ Center

Join staff and student leaders from the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) and LGBTQ+ Center to learn about the events, programs, and resources at NYU that aim to engage, support, empower, and celebrate the intersectional experiences of students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and historically marginalized students. 

First-Gen Student Reception

First generation student reception is intended as a casual networking event where admitted students and their families can learn about the resources available to the first generation population at NYU and start to form a community with other members of their incoming class.

Registration Instructions

All event attendees (including admitted students and each of their guests) are required to pre-register for each session of the Weekend on the Square event.

  1. Navigate to your Admitted Student Events Portal to the "Weekend on the Square" tab.
  2. Click "Register" to navigate to the event registration form
  3. Select your check in time (between 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 15th OR Sunday, April 16th)
  4. Select the individual sessions that you and your guests plan to attend. 

Check-In and COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination Protocol

Upon arrival to campus, admitted students and their guests will check-in at your School Spotlight Session or at the Information Tent on campus. You’ll receive a wristband that will grant you access to all events and activities during Weekend on the Square. 

NOTE: You’ll most likely want to check in at your school session – the location for which was sent to students by email and is available in the portal. Or you are welcome to check in at Gould Plaza.

NYU expects all community members and visitors to be up to date in their vaccinations against COVID-19 in order to participate in on-campus events.

We'll miss you, but don't sweat it–there are plenty of opportunities to connect with NYU faculty, students, and your fellow Class of '27ers throughout the month of April during our virtual and in-person events. Head to your Admitted Student Events portal to learn more and register for events tailored for our newly-admitted Violets.
