Student Conduct Records
Record Retention: The Office of Student Conduct (OSC) maintains records for non-academic conduct matters involving students. In accordance with the University's Policy on Retention and Destruction of Records, OSC files are maintained for seven (7) years from the date of the record. Records related to any matter which resulted in separation from the University (i.e. suspension, expulsion, compulsory withdrawal) are maintained permanently.
Accessing Student Conduct Records: In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), students may request access to review their student conduct records maintained by OSC. At NYU, FERPA is administered by University Registrar, Elizabeth Kienle-Granzo. The Office of the Registrar is located at 300 Cadman Plaza West, 7th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Students who want to review their conduct records or need to have certification of their conduct record sent to an academic institution or external agency should contact Elizabeth Kienle-Granzo, University Registrar at FERPA@nyu.edu.
