About Telephone Service

Telephone Service at NYU encompasses business telephone service for faculty and staff at each of the NYU locations listed below, as well as residential telephone service for students, faculty, and staff in NYU Residence Halls in New York. Business telephone service includes contact center design and implementation, telephone number assignment, telephone set/instrument provisioning, softphone accounts (Jabber), voicemail, automated attendants, and analog service (such as for faxes and modems). Residential telephone service includes call waiting, 3-way calling, and unlimited free local and domestic long distance. Telephone sets/instruments are not provided by NYU in the Residence Halls. All Telephone Service at NYU is available by request only.

How to Request This Service

To request telephone service for business purposes, faculty or staff or their department’s Communications Representative may submit the Communication Request Form. If you are not sure who your Communications Representative is, submit an inquiry form to ask for their name. In New York, to request telephone service in an NYU Residence Hall, follow these instructions.
