When applying, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the types of accommodations we offer, as well as our policies and procedures regarding initial payment, and canceling your reservation. As part of your application, you will be required to review and agree to the terms and conditions of the 2018 Summer Housing License.
Please note that once an application is complete, it will take approximately 4 weeks to process.
Non-NYU, non-affiliated applicants are assigned on a first come, first serve basis contingent on space availability.
The application process for Summer 2018 has not yet begun.
Applicants will provide affiliation information, reservation dates, residence hall preferences, and roommate/suitemate requests on the application. Applicants will be required to submit at least two building preferences.
Applicants are required to submit a $500 reservation payment with their application for Summer Housing.
The $500 reservation payment will be credited to the applicant’s account and will count towards overall summer housing costs. Please note, all requests to cancel NYU Summer Housing are subject to a cancellation fee.
Applicants may submit payment online or by mailing in a check or money order. Applications are not complete until payment is received.
Please note, the checking account must be from a US based bank that allows ACH transactions (ACH is an electronic network for financial transactions in the US). Applicants must provide their checking account number as well as their bank’s routing number (both of these numbers can be found on a blank check).
Please note that upon entering payment, your checking account will be debited for the payment amount. If NYU Summer Housing is unable to offer housing, the payment will be fully refunded.
Applicants who wish to pay by money order or who would prefer to pay with a standard bank check may submit payment by mail.
Payments by mail must be received by NYU Summer Housing within one week of application completion. Checks or money orders must be made payable to “New York University.”
Please download the payment form, attach your check or money order to the form, and return the documents to the mailing address listed on the form.

NYU does not accept credit card payments.
In accordance with the applicable local, state, and federal disability laws, New York University will provide reasonable accommodations for an individual eligible to reside in Summer Housing who has a qualifying physical or mental disability.

The deadline for summer residents with a confirmed reservation to submit documentation to the Moses Center is March 30, 2018. Documentation submitted after this date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants under the age of 18 are eligible to apply provided they will be actively participating in an NYU sponsored high school program during their residency. For more information about these programs, please visit our High School Programs website.
At a later time, depending on the programmatic affiliation, applicants under 18 may be contacted to submit a consent form completed by a parent or guardian.
