Asynchronus Course

A course that is taught online and has self-paced content available during a set time frame.
First-Generation (First-Gen) Students

Students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college or an American institution of higher education.
NYU Engage

An online community where NYU students can create and join clubs and organizations.
Swap

During the add/drop period, students may join the waitlist for a course they want to take by setting up a “swap."
Wellness Exchange

A 24/7 mental health resource for the NYU community.

Financial Education

An office at NYU that provides students with the education and resources to effectively manage their short and long term financial goals.
NYU Connect

An online platform where students, faculty, advisors, and staff can communicate and collaborate efforts to ensure a student’s success.
Registration

The process of signing up for classes.
Synchronus Course

A course that is taught online with real-time virtual sessions where all course participants log in simultaneously.
