During the breakfast, we will also reveal the winners of the International Student Support Initiative Awards including the International Sudent Leadership Award, the International Student Solidarity Award for NYU Students, and the International Student Solidarity Award for NYU Professionals. Winners are selected due to their strong involvement in the NYU community and their signficant contribution to improving international student life at NYU. Awards

The Office of Global Services gives annual awards to individuals who have demonstrated their strong involvement in the NYU community and their significant contribution to improving international student life at NYU. All award winners this year will be announced through email and social media channels. Here's a look at our earlier awards winners. International Student Leadership Award

For international students studying in the US

Eligible nominees for the International Student Leadership Award are international students in F, J, or any other nonimmigrant status who meet the following criteria:

  • Are completing their academic program at NYU December 2022-August 2023
  • Are maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Are involved in the NYU community as a volunteer or leader
  • Have made a significant contribution to improving life for international students attending NYU sites in the US

Nominators must be NYU faculty or NYU administrators. Multiple nominations for one person are welcome.


International Student Solidarity Award

All graduating NYU students are eligible

Eligible nominees for the International Student Solidarity Award are any NYU student who meet the following criteria:

  • Are completing their academic program at NYU December 2022-August 2023
  • Are maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Are involved in the NYU community as a volunteer or leader
  • Have made a significant contribution to improving life for international students attending any NYU campus

Nominators must be NYU faculty or NYU administrators. Multiple nominations for one person are welcome.


NYU Professional: International Student Solidarity Award

All NYU faculty, administrators, and staff are eligible

We recognize that the success of our international students is also thanks to the amazing employees the university hires that go above and beyond their job responsibilities which have benefited international students.

Eligible nominees for NYU Professional: International Student Solidarity Award is a current faculty, administrator, or staff member who meets the following criteria:

  • made a significant contribution to improving campus life for international students attending any NYU campus
  • continuously advocated on behalf of the interests of international students
  • implemented new policy or procedures to assist in the acclimation of international students to NYU/NYC
  • introduced or assisted in the development of a new program aimed towards international students
     

Nominators may be current or graduating students who would like to show their appreciation for the work performed by an outstanding professional. Current NYU faculty, administrators or staff members may also nominate a fellow colleague. Multiple nominations for one person are welcome.
