In Spring 2023, NYU Course Evaluations will be renamed Course Feedback and will move from NYU Albert to a new platform called Explorance Blue.

The new platform is more modern and usable, has built-in reporting, and will be accessible via NYU Brightspace.

Additionally, there has been a comprehensive review of the course feedback process and common questions.

Updates and more will be posted here on an ongoing basis, and information about the full transition will be shared throughout the year.

Pilot Program

In the Fall 2022 semester, CAS and Liberal Studies, will have early access to the platform for their Fall 2022 evaluations. The composition of the pilot group was determined in consultation with school Dean’s Offices.

Throughout the Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 semesters, all other schools currently using NYU Albert for course evaluations will move to Explorance Blue.

Governance Committee

A faculty and student governance committee will oversee the transition to the new platform and new common questions. Members include representatives from the Tenured/Tenure Track Faculty Senators Council (T-FSC), Continuing Contract Faculty Senators Council (C-FSC), and Student Senators Council (SSC).

View the October 2021 report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Course Evaluations for more information on what motivated this move.
