Beginning in Spring 2023, NYU Course Evaluations in Albert will be renamed Course Feedback and moved to a new platform called Blue. Blue is more modern and usable, has built-in reporting, and will be accessible via NYU Brightspace.

In Spring 2023, CAS, Global Public Health, Liberal Studies, Steinhardt, Tandon, Tisch, and Wagner courses in New York, as well as all courses in Abu Dhabi will use Blue. Other schools’ courses will continue to use Albert this semester.

If you will continue to use Albert for course evaluations this Spring, please contact sis.course.eval@nyu.edu with questions. For questions related to the new Course Feedback platform, please contact coursefeedback@nyu.edu.

Updates and more will be posted here on an ongoing basis, and information about the full transition will be shared throughout the year.

Why the Transition

  • The Ad Hoc Committee on Course Evaluations  conducted a review of the scholarly literature, assessed best practices across peer institutions related to course feedback, and consulted NYU faculty experts, and, in October 2021, issued a report that identified a need to update questions, in an effort to reduce bias, and give faculty different ways to access and review their own course evaluation data; and
  • The need to retire our current system, which will no longer be supported by the vendor.

NYU Course Feedback - Common Questions

Please note: The following questions may be updated as needed throughout 2023. The October 2021 Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Course Evaluations identified a need to update questions, in an effort to reduce bias, and give faculty different ways to access and review their own course evaluation data

Governance Committee

A faculty and student governance committee will oversee the transition to the new platform (Blue) and new common questions. Members include representatives from the Tenured/Tenure Track Faculty Senators Council (T-FSC), Continuing Contract Faculty Senators Council (C-FSC), and Student Senators Council (SSC).
