Reasonable Accommodations

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, New York University will provide reasonable accommodations for a student eligible to reside in University housing who has a qualifying physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities and has a record of such an impairment or is regarded as having such an impairment.

In order to be considered for a reasonable housing accommodation, you must complete the Reasonable Housing Accommodation Request Form provided by the Moses Center and return it to the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities, 726 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10003, ATTN: Reasonable Housing Accommodations. Information provided to the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities is kept confidential and only will be shared within the University as is necessary to evaluate the request.

Important Deadlines:

  • March 1, 2017:  Returning students applying for reasonable housing accommodations for the 2017-2018 academic year must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.
  • March 31, 2017:  Applicants for Summer 2017 housing must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.
  • April 26, 2017:  New students applying for reasonable housing accommodations for the 2017-2018 academic year must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.

Students may apply for reasonable housing accommodations any time after the published deadlines, but placement is not guaranteed and will be subject to space availability.
