In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, New York University will provide reasonable accommodations for a student eligible to reside in University housing who has a qualifying physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, has a record of such an impairment or is regarded as having such an impairment.
 
In order to be considered for a reasonable housing accommodation, you must complete the Reasonable Housing Accommodation Request Form provided by the Moses Center (212-998-4980) and return it to:

Information provided to the Moses Center for Student Accessibility is kept confidential and only will be shared within the University as is necessary to evaluate the request.

2021-2022 Important Deadlines:

  • May 1, 2021:  New students applying for reasonable housing accommodations for the 2020-2021 academic year must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.
  • May 3, 2021:  Applicants for Summer 2021 housing must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.
  • May 21, 2021:  Returning students applying for reasonable housing accommodations for the 2021-2022 academic year must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center. Approvals do not carry over from one academic yerm to the next.  Students must re-apply for reasonable accommodations each academic year (and summer, if applicable) in order to be assigned accordingly.
  • October 25, 2021:  New students applying for reasonable housing accommodations for the Spring 2022 term must submit their requests with all supporting medical documentation to the Moses Center.

Students may apply for reasonable housing accommodations any time after the published deadlines, but placement is not guaranteed and will be subject to space availability.
