How it works

A meal plan is a prepaid account on your NYU ID card that provides access to dining services on campus.

To use your meal plan tap your NYU ID card on the electronic reader and the meal swipe or dining dollars will be deducted from your account.

Dining Dollars can be used at all on-campus dining locations and have a dollar-for-dollar value. Students may use Dining Dollars for items like drinks and snacks.

Meal plans replenish on Sundays. Unused meal swipes expire every Saturday at midnight. Unused dining dollars will roll over week to week for active meal plan members. Dining dollars expire at the end of your summer session.

Meal plan pricing cannot be prorated.

Requirements

Meal plans are required for residents of traditional-style halls. All residents assigned to a traditional residence hall will be assigned to the 8 meal plan by default. Residents of apartment-style halls are not required to have a meal plan but are welcome to sign up for one on the meal plan portal.
