First Year Students: NYU Dining Guide

NYU Dining is fully committed to providing students with wide variety of delicious, healthy and nutritious meal options. We've made a number of enhancements to ensure that our First Year students get the most out of their dining experience this year. From made-to-order burgers and freshly prepared pizza and pasta to individually assembled bowls and sushi, we’re sure you’ll be able to find something to satisfy your cravings.

Meal Plans

To get the most out of the first-year experience, NYU requires all first-year, transfer and visiting students, irrespective of academic status, living in residence halls to participate in an NYU Dining Meal Plan. If living on campus, you will automatically be assigned an NYU Meal Plan that can be adjusted before September 15th, 2022.

How does the meal plan work?

Eating on-campus is easy with an NYU Dining Meal Plan. We have multiple dining locations across campus that conveniently offer a variety of foods and delicious dining options. With a meal plan, you've got food covered, so it’s one less thing you have to worry about. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Simply swipe your card and the meal, meal exchange or dining dollars are deducted from your account automatically. There are three components to our meal plans: Meal Allowance, Meal Exchange, and Dining Dollars. 

Special Diets

NYU Eats provides for dietary needs: halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, non-allergenic, Jain and gluten-free. Special Events

Our Instagram and Facebook pages are the best ways of finding out about special dining related events throughout the term. From Virtual Teaching Kitchens, to Love, NYU Eats events, we always have something exciting going on for NYU Students.
