Reservation Policies and Procedures

The Wasserman Center's presentation rooms are designed to serve the students and faculty of New York University. University-related groups may reserve the spaces for approved events; however, preference is given to events related to the Wasserman Center.


Reservation Procedures

  1. All conference room reservations are made through NYU CareerNet, the Wasserman Center's online database. Log in to NYU CareerNet and click Events > Information Sessions to get started.
  2. Reservations are made final only with an approved, fully completed form. One reservation form must be completed for each reservation date.
  3. Completed forms must be received at least 14 days prior to the event. *Please note: NYU Departments must complete the ledger transfer request at least 7 days prior to the event.
  4. Once submitted, if the event is approved, your authorized document is your official confirmation and contract.
  5. NYU ID or government issued ID with a list of non-NYU participants is required for security.

Charges

  1. Your group is responsible for any and all equipment charges.
  2. If your group is a nonprofit organization please send a copy of your 501(c) status letter to Annette Tucker by email to annette.tucker@nyu.edu.
  3. A charge may be necessary for porter services (clean-up, set-up).
  4. Events beginning earlier than 8am will incur a $100 early-event fee. Events beginning earlier than 7am will incur a $200 early-event fee.
  5. Be sure to inspect the room before your event begins. If any damage is noted, please notify Annette or a Wasserman Center Staff member at once and request that the damage and time be officially noted. If any damage occurs to the room during the event, your organization is responsible for any repair costs.
  6. After the event, the sponsoring group is responsible for leaving the area in good order. Any extraordinary charges necessitated by cleaning up after an event will be billed to the sponsoring group.
  7. Any event that is cancelled less than two weeks prior to the actual event date will incur a $500.00 cancellation fee. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by email to annette.tucker@nyu.edu.
