You Control Your Data
We are GDPR compliant and will delete any personal data that you ask us to remove. If you accidentally share sensitive information (i.e., immigration status, SSNs, etc.), we will promptly delete it.
We Read Conversations for Your Benefit
We follow conversations and may occasionally correct misinformation in the mission of improving the BobChat experience for you and future users.
We Share Feedback for NYU’s Benefit
We may pass conversations along to our partner offices in the mission of improving the NYU student experience. When this happens, we protect users’ privacy by removing all identifiable user information (i.e., names, photos, etc.).
We’re Ready to Jump In During Emergencies
If a user indicates that they may be a danger to themselves or others, or begins a chat about a personal wellness issue, we will intervene through a live conversation. We may also share the user’s publicly available information (i.e., names, photos, etc.) with the Wellness Exchange or other NYU offices to ensure the user’s safety.
