The Wellness Exchange is staffed by licensed professional counselors. Our primary mission is to help NYU students by offering counseling and emergency response services. We operate the Wellness Exchange Hotline, staff the Wellness walk-in counseling service, and manage all psychiatric emergencies and sexual assaults in the NYU community.

We are an office of seven Crisis Response Counselors (CRC), a Clinical Manager, and an Associate Director. A CRC is on call and available to respond to emergencies 24/7, every day of the year, and can be reached anytime by simply requesting the CRC when calling the Wellness Exchange Hotline (212-443-9999). Committed to the health, well-being, and success of all NYU students, we strive to provide the highest quality care by meeting students where they are.
