Free Flu Shots
What is the NYU Flu Clinic?
It’s a new space on campus where you can get your free flu shot (it’s quick and easy, too!)
Before visiting the NYU Flu Clinic, you must submit a saliva test kit to complete the Return to Campus testing requirement and be cleared to enter NYU buildings. If you're already up-to-date on your Ongoing Testing requirement, you do not need to submit another test kit.
It takes a few days for your test results to be processed after your kit is received by the lab, so be sure to submit your test kit in advance so you're cleared in time for your appointment. You will receive an email from the COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team when you are cleared to enter NYU buildings.
If you're not cleared to enter NYU buildings, you can also get a free flu shot at a local clinic or pharmacy. Search for a free flu shot location near you!
Is it safe?
We have enhanced protocols in place to protect you and your provider. Remember to wear a face covering and keep 6 feet of distance between yourself and others.
How do I get there?
Come to the second floor of 726 Broadway a few minutes before your appointment. Remember to complete the Daily Screener before you leave home.
Will a flu shot protect me against COVID-19?
Getting a flu shot won't protect you against COVID-19, but flu vaccination has many important benefits. Flu shots can reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization, and death – and they're an important step to help conserve scarce health care resources. Check out more FAQs about flu and COVID-19.
Do I need a flu shot?
It’s the best way to protect yourself and others from getting the flu.
During COVID-19, it’s more important than ever for us all to stay healthy and keep each other safe.
