The requirements below are MANDATORY. If you don't complete them, you will be unable to register for classes for the next semester or in the case of immunization requirements be de-enrolled.

Health and Immunization Forms

July 15: Deadline to Submit Proof of Immunizations

All students are required to provide information about their prior measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) and meningitis vaccinations. Failing to meet this requirement can result in de-enrollement from classes. Failure to complete this requirement can result in de-enrollment from classes.

NYUAD will require COVID-19 vaccination for all students on our campus for the Fall 2021 semester. This requirement is meant to enable our community to return to in-person operations.

July 15: Deadline to Submit the Student Health History Form

All new and transfer students must complete the Student Health History form in the SHC Student Portal. NOTE: You will not be able to access this form until you are an enrolled student. The information will help us better understand your health needs and assist us in providing you with the best care and treatment.

  • To get started, log in to the SHC Student Portal and click "Forms"
  • Click "Medical Clearances"
  • Look for the Student Health History Form
  • Click "Update" to begin

July 15: Deadline to Submit the Treatment of a Minor Form

If you are under 18 years of age, you must complete and return the NYU Abu Dhabi Authorization for Treatment of Minors (PDF 105 KB) form granting parental consent for treatment.

Online Trainings and Resources

Note: You must activate your Net ID to access the online trainings.

September 30: Deadline to Complete "Think About It"

Complete the "Think About It" online education course on sexual misconduct prevention and response at NYU once you start classes.

  • You will receive a letter from the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Dean of Students introducing you to the course.

September 30: Deadline to Complete "AlcoholEdu for College"

All incoming undergraduate students are required to take the course -- even those who have taken it at another institution, are over 21, or do not drink alcohol for personal, health, religious or other reasons. All NYU students will benefit from a shared basic knowledge of the effects of alcohol, potential problems, ways to reduce risk, and resources to help ourselves and others.

  • Students will receive an email in August with instructions to complete this online course on alcohol and other drugs. Note: You may need to select "Abu Dhabi Campus" as your Group/Class during log in.

Student Health Insurance

NYU requires that students studying abroad as part of their educational program be covered under the NYU-sponsored health insurance plan. Information about Abu Dhabi Student Health Insurance is available on the Student Health Insurance website.


Register for Accessibility Services and Accommodations

The Moses Center for Student Accessibility provides services and programs for students with disabilities. Please refer to the Moses website for information about arranging for accommodations before or after you start at NYU. You can request accommodations at any time, however, doing so early will help to ensure you have access to services the moment you start at NYU.

Obtain Prescription Refills

For specific questions about bringing prescriptions or non-prescription (over-the-counter) medications to NYUAD, please contact nyuad.healthcenter@nyu.edu.

Chronic Conditions

If you have a chronic medical condition or are in treatment with a psychotherapist and/or psychiatrist, please let us know using the Health History Form. You can also submit relevant medical records by mail to:
