Please note that some international students may face travel restrictions due to COVID-19.

This page provides important information and links specifically for new international students who will start their fall semester in New York. This page complements, but does not replace, information found on other Next Stop NYU webpages — please read all communications, not just this page, to be prepared for your arrival at NYU. A number of translated documents are also available at the bottom of this page.

Activating Your NYU Email

Students with a home address outside of the U.S. will receive communications electronically via their NYU email address, rather than by physical mail. Visit to activate your account as soon as possible. Digital versions of communications will also be available throughout the summer on the Deadlines page.
