Testing Policies

Required Alternative Testing Agreement For Instructors

If a professor prefers the Moses Center staff proctor their exams for students with approved testing accommodations, they need to complete an Alternative Testing Agreement once per semester for each class they teach (excluding Law, Dental, Nursing, Medicine). This provides the Moses Center with all the information needed to proctor their exams. The Alternative Testing Agreement can be found in two places:

  1. On the top of the student's Accommodation Letter (if they have alternative testing as an accommodation. You can find this in your NYU email.)
  2. On our instructor portal

An instructional video can be found here.

Once we have this information, the student will then be able to request to schedule their exams through the student portal. Students are unable to submit exam requests for the course until we receive a testing agreement from the Instructor. Once an exam request is submitted by the student, an email is sent to the professor asking for confirmation of the exam details provided by the student.

If professors are using online testing platforms such as Brightspace, Qualtrics, ProctorU, etc, to administer the exam for all students in their class, our office is available to assist in setting up and proctoring exams for Moses Center students in the same format if needed.
