Dr. Aura Caldera is a Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Aura is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry and later joined Columbia University Medical Center to pursue a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Aura maintains her affiliation and hospital privileges with Columbia University Medical Center. Additionally, she holds an academic appointment at New York University College of Dentistry where she serves as program coordinator and clinical faculty with international dental outreach development.

In 2006, Dr. Aura Caldera created the New York University Dental Outreach to Nicaragua and has helped restore oral health to over 10,000 families in need. Dr. Caldera’s research focused on evaluating the oral health compliance of Early Headstart and Headstart participants of Washington Heights. This study will provide helpful data for improving prenatal, infant and child oral health and for influencing state oral health policies and funding. Dr. Caldera aims to educate and spread awareness of proper oral hygiene and provide free oral health services to underserved communities as part of her dental outreach in Nicaragua.
