Anurag Gupta is a sought-after expert on unconscious bias. He founded Be More to train professionals in evidence-based tools to reduce unconscious bias through in-person workshops and online trainings. He has worked on issues of racial equity, women’s rights, and ethnic reconciliation on three continents. Anurag has presented his expertise on the causes of implicit bias and strategies to for bias reduction and mitigation at numerous national conferences, including the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's National Forum, Cavendish Global Health Forum, ACGME’s annual conference for medical professionals, and the Social Venture Network. In recognition of his work, Anurag was awarded fellowships by Echoing Green and The Nathan Cummings Foundation. Prior to founding Be More, he worked as an attorney and a research scholar at the Vera Institute of Justice. Anurag holds a JD from NYU School of Law, where he was a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship and a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar, and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
