Hacking Racial Bias with BE MORE

September 20, 2017

9:00am - 12:30pm

On September 20, 2017, the NYU Social Entrepreneurship Program and Focus for Health Foundation presented Hacking Racial Bias with BE MORE. The workshop was led by NYU Social Entrepreneurship alum, Anurag Gupta, Founder & CEO of BE MORE.

BE MORE aims to create a measurably better world by unleashing human capital, human talent, and human potential. They are imagining a world where conscious awareness of unconscious bias positively affects decision-making, allowing all of humanity to grow and reach its fullest potential. This half-day Hacking Racial Bias workshop delved into the anatomy of racial bias, its evidence-based causes, and its manifestations in decision-making. Participants were also introduced to proven strategies that break individual and institutional unconscious biases, with respect to race, through self-reflection and group exercises.
