Provostial Mega-Grants Initiative
The Mega-Grants Initiative (MGI), directed by Vice Provost for Research Stacie Grossman Bloom, and the Office Sponsored Program’s growing Research Development unit works closely to launch a variety of new services and resources to aid NYU researchers and program directors in securing funding for groundbreaking research and projects.
Find Funding Opportunities: OSP offers periodic workshops and an introduction to online tools for finding opportunities. Select funding opportunities are also posted to the Funding Opportunities Blog and are also available via Research Development on the OSP Wiki.
Apply for Mega-Grants Initiative Seed Funds: Understanding the complexity and labor-intensiveness of large, complex grant applications, the Provost's Mega-Grants Initiative offers seed funding of up to $50,000 to PIs and research teams to develop competitive proposals seeking funding of $ 2 million or more. For information, contact Trinh Eng.
View Successful Sample Proposals: OSP and MGI have curated a selection of proposals that have won major funding from National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation and Institute for Education Sciences. New samples will be posted as they become available.
Access Proposal Development Tools: To support the development and writing of grant applications, OSP and MGI will develop resources, boilerplate language or fleshed-out examples of commonly required proposal components. Get help with writing data management plans, biosketch templates, data on NYU institutional capabilities and economic impact, and more.
