Cayuse IRB FAQs
Frequently Asked Cayuse IRB Questions
What is Cayuse IRB?
The Cayuse Research Suite is NYU’s support for research administration, including the submission of protocols to NYU’s IRB.
How do I log in to Cayuse IRB?
There are two ways to log in to the Cayuse Research Suite:
1) Navigate to nyu.cayuse424.com. If you are not already logged into NYU Home in the current browser, you will be asked to enter your NYU Home credentials.
2) In NYU Home, click the “Research” tab, and find the link for the Cayuse Research Suite under the eResearchToolkit.
When I log in to Cayuse IRB, I'm getting a message that says, "We're sorry. This account has been disabled on the Cayuse424 system." Why isn't this working?
You must register for Cayuse before trying to log in. To register, please go to the Cayuse Resources page.
I have a protocol that was approved by NYU's IRB pre-Cayuse, but I want to submit a Continuing Review and/or Amendment. What should I do?
As no legacy data was carried over to the new system, we are asking all Investigators to create an Initial Submission.
For Continuing Reviews: Include all information that is currently active in your protocol. You will receive an approval with dates for the next year.
For Amendments: Include everything that is currently active on the protocol, incorporating all changes you wish to make.
How do I create an application?
Please follow the instructions in the Cayuse IRB Guide, starting on page 6.
How do I create a Modification (Amendment)?
From your Study Details page, click the "New Submission" button on the top right and then select "Modification."
How do I look up the status of an application I have submitted?
Please follow the instructions in the Cayuse IRB Guide.
I got an email asking that I make revisions to my application but I can't find the comments. Where are they?
I am clicking the Complete Submission button to submit, but the system keeps taking me back to the application. What's happening?
Go through your application carefully to make sure you have answered every question. The system will not allow you to submit if a question has not been answered. Pay special attention to any questions marked with a red asterisk as they are mandatory fields.
