Meal Plans, Dining Locations, and Campus Cash
Note: This information applies to NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai students considering a semester in New York. Students from other colleges and universities who are interested in enrolling as a visiting student at NYU's campus in New York should consider programs hosted by NYU's Office of University Programs.
NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai students are not required to have a meal plan during their study away semester in New York.
NYU Dining Services offers a wide variety of meal plans that afford students the opportunity to enjoy nutritious dining options across campus. Information about dining on campus can be found on the NYU Dining website.
Campus Cash activates your NYU Card to work like a bank debit card. Money can be deposited into your Campus Cash account and can be drawn upon for purchase of goods and services at many locations including the NYU Bookstore and NYU Dining. All you do is swipe your NYU Card card and your account is debited.
Campus Cash can be used at several locations on campus including: NYU Dining locations (tax free for students), most vending machines on Campus, NYU Bookstore, Reprographics/Mail Services, NYU Skirball, the Student Health Center and select other locations.
NYU Courtesy Meals
The Courtesy Meals program provides free, short-term food support to any enrolled student in need of emergency food assistance. Courtesy Meals are accepted at our NYC campus only. Courtesy Meals:
- Provide a seventy-five dining dollars credit to a student's NYU ID.
- Are provided free of charge to those who seek them.
- Will not have an impact on a student's financial aid.
- If you are in need of emergency food assistance, you may submit a request via the Virtual Courtesy Meals Request form.
