Program Summary

Designed for upper-level undergraduate students planning for careers in the entertainment and media industries, NYU Los Angeles provides an experiential learning environment in one of the world’s leading centers for the creative industries, including film and television, music, and emerging media. Students take classes in an academic facility located near Park La Brea. Crafted by faculty from various NYU schools, the program combines highly focused academic programming with a substantial professional development component.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition, Fees, Housing and International Insurance are required, and these rates are set by NYU.

This chart uses undergraduate tuition and fees for the College of Arts and Science from 2021. The chart will be updated as soon as the rates for 2022 are posted.

PLEASE NOTE: Students are responsible for purchase of transportation to/from program location. All students participating in the program are required to live in NYU-provided housing.

Academics

NYU Los Angeles offers a focused, interdisciplinary program sponsored by multiple schools. Students should plan to take courses across multiple schools and departments, including the required Experiential Learning Seminar.

All students in the NYU Los Angeles program complete an internship or equivalent professional development experience in the entertainment and media industries. The site team will help you identify opportunities, refine your resume and presentation, and provide advice and support to help you nail interviews and land an internship that advances your career interests and sets you up for future success.

The NYU Los Angeles faculty is comprised of local professionals and scholars who bring decades of experience from the entertainment and media industries into the classroom. Small class sizes allow students to receive individualized attention and provide an ideal setting for fostering collaboration.


Housing

All students participating in the program are required to live in NYU-provided housing. Housing is located in the Park La Brea housing complex, just around the corner from the NYU LA Campus, the famous Farmer's Market, and the Grove shopping center. NYU Los Angeles housing does not include a meal plan.
