State of Sustainability 2022

Every year, NYU raises the bar in making our campus and community more sustainable. During the 2022 State of Sustainability address, we reported on recent accomplishments, announced new initiatives, and recognized community leaders for their significant contributions to our sustainability efforts. Featured speakers included President Andrew Hamilton, Provost Katherine Fleming, Chief Sustainability Officer Cecil Scheib, and sustainability leaders throughout the NYU community.

Earth Day Street Fair

Join the green community of NYU and NYC for a street fair on the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day with giveaways, information tables, and most importantly a celebration of the planet we live on!

Environmental and Racial Justice Network Spring Summit

April 29 | 9am-2pm ET

The Environmental and Racial Justice Network Spring Summit will explore the connections between racial and environmental justice, the impact of environmental social policy on historically underrepresented and minoritized communities, and what can be done to address environmental racism.

Lunch for the Planet

Join us for a presentation about food and climate change by Dr. Matthew Hayek, followed by a planet-friendly lunch! Opening remarks by Dr. Sonali McDermid. Lunch will be offered to all guests, with to-go options -- please register if you plan to eat so that we can order accordingly. This will be an in-person event that will be live-streamed on @nyu_green.
