Where Do I Find BioRAFT? How Can I Log In?
BioRAFT is located on your NYU Home homepage under the "academics" tab. You can also locate BioRAFT by searching for "BioRAFT" in the search bar.
To sign in, use your NYU Net ID email and corresponding password.
Can I Log In From My Phone or Tablet?
Yes. You can log in from any device. You can also enter "nyu.bioraft.com" into any search engine.
BioRAFT Does Not Appear In My NYU Home, What Do I Do?
All NYU student, faculy, and staff information is migrated into BioRAFT from the NYU registrars office every Wednesday night.
If BioRAFT is not appearing in your NYU Home page. Please enter "nyu.bioraft.com" into your seaech engine.
If you still cannot acces BioRAFT please email RLS@nyu.edu to obtain a temporary account.
How do I submit an Incident Reporting Form?

I Receive An Error Message When I Log In. What Does This Mean?
If you are viewing a message that reads:
- "General lab wizard not complete" - Your viirtual lab set up will need to be completed. The PI should fill out the lab hazards and research focus as well as, apporve new members and job task.
- " You are not assigned to a virtual lab" - You can assign yourself by using the Self-Register option OR your PI will need to assign you as a lab members within the virtual lab.
How do I fix my access in the system? I am unable to see certain features.
If you are unable to see certain fuctionalities in the system please speak with your groups compliance liasion. They will need to update your access in the system. They can do this by:
- Navigating to the "Members" tab
- Selecting edit, next to your name
- Selecting the new designation within the designation section
I Can't View The Chemtracker Tab, What do I do?
If you cannot view certian tabs, your access may need to be changed. Email your PI or lab "compliance liaison" for assistance. They are approved to change your access in BioRAFT. This will be accomplished by:
- Navigating to the "Members" tab
- Selecting edit, next to your name
- Selecting "manage group chemtracker inventory" within the designation section
How Do I Take Training and Locate My Completion Certificates in BioRAFT?
Access Training:
- Click on "Training" in the left side menu
- Then click on " Course directory"
- Then choose a course (e.g Initial Hazardous Waste) and select “Launch Course"
Access Certificates:
- Click on the “My Account ” (left side column)
- Click on “My Profile”
- Click on “ Training” on the top of screen
- Click on the Certificate you wish to print.
How Can I Self Register For A PIs Virtual Lab?
All lab members can self register for a virtual lab. Please reviee this Quick Guide for Laboratory Self Registration (PDF: 750KB).
I Completed Training in BioRAFT, But Did Not Receive Credit. What Do I Do?
In order to receive credit for taking online training, the "NEXT" button must be selected. This button is found on the orginial entry screen after you exit the training pop up window.
If you recently completed a trainining in BioRAFT but did not receive the credit or completion certificate, review the Quick Guide to Selecting The Next Button (PDF: 465KB).
If this button was not selected upon completing the training, please email RLS@nyu.edu.
