Is there be a virtual option for students who are enrolled but aren't vaccinated?

At NYU’s New York City campus, teaching modality is primarily in-person instruction, and access to campus buildings and University activities and events (including classes) requires compliance with the vaccine requirement, unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption and remain compliant with additional safety protocols. If you are enrolled in a fully online program and are receiving emails for being non-compliant with NYU’s vaccination requirement, and you believe this is an error:

  1. Check your class schedule in Albert.  In your class schedule your instruction mode must indicate online for every class you are registered for. You can verify your instruction mode by logging into Albert and reviewing the classes you are enrolled.
  2. If your registration information is incorrect, contact your school advisor.

If you need to come to campus for any reason (e.g., use the library, attend a meeting), you will need to be fully vaccinated to enter any campus buildings, unless you have been granted a medical or religious exemption and remain compliant with additional safety protocols.

In addition, we plan to meet the academic needs of international students unable to come to campus because of visa issues or travel restrictions through GoLocal or online coursework offered from NY as well as from our global site.

I already had COVID-19. Do I still need to show proof of vaccination for in-person attendance?

Yes.
