Your Action Required: Community Standards in the Context of COVID-19 for Spring 2021
Date: January 15, 2021
To: NYU Students
From: Craig Jolley, NYU Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards
Dear NYU Student:
For the academic year 2020-2021, the University will continue to strictly enforce the safety and health rules we have put in place. A great deal is at stake in your observing the rules conscientiously: your own health; the health of faculty, other employees, and fellow students; and the collective health of the New York City community (as well as other cities hosting NYU locations around the globe). As we await the vaccine, now, more than ever, we are responsible for not only our own health, but for the health and safety of one another.
We want to be confident that you are aware of all the rules we have implemented, including those related to community health. These rules range from one’s conduct in a remote course to what is expected in an in-person class. With this in mind, all students enrolled for the Spring 2021 semester must complete the following three tasks, regardless of whether you will be on campus, in person, or remote. You must do so no later than January 27. Since some information has been changed or updated, all students are required to complete the following steps, even those who may have previously done so in the fall.
You must complete the following:
- WATCH the video. (Note: the video has been updated since the fall)
- READ the policies.
- SIGN the acknowledgement.
If you have technical issues related to the attestation or video, please contact the IT service desk at AskIT@nyu.edu. If you have questions on NYU’s protocols and requirements, please do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for helping to keep each other safe!
