Your Action Required: Community Standards in the Context of COVID-19
Date: August 14, 2020
To: NYU Students
From: Craig Jolley, NYU Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards
Dear NYU Student:
As stated in our July 30th communication, the University plans to strictly enforce our safety and health rules we are putting in place for academic year 2020-2021. A great deal is at stake in your observing the rules conscientiously, including your own health; the health of faculty, other employees, and fellow students; and the progress made in New York (as well as other cities hosting NYU locations around the globe) to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Now, more than ever, we are responsible not only for our own health, but for the health and safety of one another.
We want to be confident that you are aware of all the rules we have implemented, including those related to public health. These rules range from one’s conduct in a remote course to what is expected in an in-person class. With this in mind, all students enrolled for the Fall 2020 semester must complete the following three tasks, regardless of whether you will be on campus, in person or remote. You must do so no later than August 24.
You must complete the following:
- WATCH the video.
- READ the policies.
- SIGN the acknowledgement.
If you have questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for helping to keep each other safe!
