Testing - Reminders And Updates

Quarantining Students

Students arriving for quarantine (move-in on August 18 - 19) must be tested upon arrival. Make an appointment here; testing will be conducted at the tent on Gould Plaza (in front of the Stern School of Business on West 4th Street).

Essential Employees and Researchers Working over the Summer

You are required to be tested and submit your results even though you are currently on campus and even if you have previously been tested.  Please read the email you were sent on August 13 if you have not already been tested; submit your results here.

Other Faculty and Employees

You should have received an email from NYU Langone to connect you to their testing locations; however, you may be tested at a facility of your choice. Please submit your test results here; remember, you must be tested and submit your results in the 14-day period prior to the day you plan to return to campus.

Regarding Wait Time after Submitting Your Test Results

Some essential employees and researchers have not yet received a follow-up communication after submitting their test results. We are working through the small backlog, and they should expect to hear from the NYU COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team soon. In the meantime, the deadline by which essential and early-returning employees must submit their results has been extended to August 22.

Assigned Seats in Classrooms

For fall 2020, we are asking students to sit in the same seat at each class meeting; this will aid any contact tracing efforts.  There will be a communication to students and faculty with specifics about the new practices sometime next week.
