Research During Winter Break
Date: December 14, 2020
To: NYU Researchers
From: Stacie Bloom, Vice Provost for Research and Chief Research Officer, New York University
I am writing about policies and procedures for researchers who plan to be on campus during winter break. Research buildings will remain open, as they have in previous years. If you plan to be on campus, you should continue to get a COVID-19 test every 14 days. Binx kits will not be distributed after 12/18, so you must get an extra mail-in Binx kit to use at a later date or make an appointment with Bioreference at the Bonomi Center (appointments are available for students and faculty and staff).
Mail services may be slower than usual, and delivery people will not be allowed past the lobby. If you are expecting a delivery, please pay close attention, track delivery, and make sure the guard in the lobby has your phone number and at least one back up phone number. We encourage you to coordinate with other labs in your building to designate people for package pick up.
Guests, including research subjects, should be submitted for access using this form.
Vendors coming to campus to provide services to NYU should be submitted here.
Please share this information with your constituent groups. If you have any additional questions about COVID-19 testing protocols, visit the ongoing testing section of the NYU COVID-19 website.
During this time, it is more important than ever to maintain decreased density, keep your distance from each other, wear masks, and wash your hands. Wishing you all a peaceful season, and looking forward to a bright 2021.
