Research During the J-Term
To: NYU Researchers
From: Stacie Bloom, Vice Provost for Research, Chief Research Officer
In light of the recent escalation in COVID-19 cases we wanted to let you know that, with appropriate precautions and attention, research can continue during J-term. Recent university communications have made it clear that we are limiting gatherings due to concerns over the omicron variant, thus any activity that can be done remotely should be done remotely through 1/18/22. All research that has to take place on campus is considered essential.
At this critical time, we’d like to remind you to continue to exercise caution and to employ the recommended layers of protection:
- Researchers should get vaccine boosters as soon as they can (this will be required for all community members and the deadline to upload is January 18);
- Researchers and subjects should remain masked while indoors;
- Researchers should avail themselves of COVID testing resources on campus as needed.
Please share this information with your colleagues and community members as appropriate.
Please take care of yourself during this time.
