TO: The NYU Community

FROM: NYU COVID-19 Prevention & Response Team

DATE: November 18, 2020

As I indicated in last week’s communication about Thanksgiving, we are strongly urging caution with regard to Thanksgiving.

For the sake of continued safety and well-being of the NYU community, it's important that we have information about community members’ travel plans. We are requiring that all members of the University community take a brief survey (about 2 - 3 mins) about your plans for travel around the extended holiday weekend and intentions for subsequent return to campus for the remainder of the semester; we will then send guidance on post-Thanksgiving testing and quarantining requirements based on your response.

All members of the University community with current access to NYU buildings are required to complete the survey by November 20, including students in University housing (we know you recently completed a similar survey from the Housing Office, but you will need to complete this one, too; sorry).

With your attention to the survey and your ongoing commitment to the practices we’ve put in place to thwart the spread of the coronavirus, we can continue to help keep each other safe.

If you have questions, students should email studentlink@nyu.edu; employees should email askpeoplelink@nyu.edu.

Thank you.
