Binx Test Kits
As the September 23 message to the NYU community indicated, the University is winding down its testing services. As of November 1, NYU is no longer distributing or collecting Binx test kits. If you already have a kit, you can mail it to the lab directly to receive your results.
Updated: November 1
If you have a Binx kit, you can mail it directly back to the lab. You must put your test kit in a box, mark it with a UN3373 label, and pay for overnight shipping. UPS can provide a UN3373 marked shipping box free of charge, based on availability per location. Please mail your kit to the following address:
Attn: Sample Receipt
P23 Labs, LLC
55 Hospital Commons
Hilton Head, SC 29926
The first time you submit a kit, you must register your account before you activate your kit.
You must use your NYU Net ID email address (ex: email@example.com) when you register. This will ensure your test results are correctly connected to your account.
You must activate your kit every time you submit a kit.
Having trouble? In order to activate your kit and register your account you need to enter all your information correctly. Please check you to be sure your NetID@nyu.edu email, your date of birth, and your N# are correct. Typing any of these incorrectly will result in an error message below the email address field.
A few key important considerations:
- Be sure to carefully open your kit. Do not tear the package. You will need it to return your sample.
- Spitting could conceivably transmit coronavirus, so please collect your saliva sample when you are alone in your own room.
- Do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes prior to collecting your saliva sample. Do it before having coffee, eating breakfast, or brushing your teeth — or wait until you haven’t consumed anything in the prior 30 minutes.
