COVID-19 has changed almost all aspects of university life: in our daily habits; in the way we gain access to buildings and events; even in the way we collaborate. Below is a comprehensive list of NYU’s current campus-wide COVID-related guidance and protocols designed to keep our community safe.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective Wednesday, September 28, NYU will be lifting many existing COVID-19 protocols regarding masking, eating and drinking, testing, and performing arts practices. This page will be updated to reflect these changes. Please see the September 23rd announcement for the most current information.

All Protocols and Guidelines

This information applies to all current and extended members of the NYU community across campus spaces and some NYU-sponsored off-campus activities.

For Specific Campus Space Information

Some spaces on campus have specific guidance for safe operations.

We recognize that COVID-19's effects have been disparate, and its impacts on poor communities and communities of color have been especially painful. In our response to the coronavirus, NYU is committed to mitigating those impacts as well as ensuring no one in our community is ostracized, bullied, or mistreated due to ignorance about this disease.

If any member of our community believes they have experienced harassment or discrimination, we encourage them to report concerns to the Bias Response Line.
