The impacts of COVID-19 have been widespread and various, and they have not fallen evenly. The well-being of the NYU community – our faculty, students, administrators, and staff – is incredibly important. We have a broad array of supports and services to assist you with hardships brought about by COVID-19 and any other challenges you may be facing.
Faculty, Staff, and Administrators should contact their personal medical providers for support. Employees with medical coverage through an NYU employee health plan (UnitedHealthcare (UHC), Aetna, and Oxford) can access COVID-19 resources and information online or by calling the Member Services number on the back of your medical ID card. Member cost share for COVID-19 testing prescribed by a physician is waived for members of an NYU employee health plan.
Mental and Emotional Support
The Employee Assistance Program, powered by Optum, provides free, confidential resources and support to assist with life’s challenges, big or small, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
The NYU Emergency Relief Fund for Faculty and Employees was created as a way for NYU friends, alumni, and fellow employees to help support employees in the face of new challenges presented by COVID-19. 100% of all donations will directly support our employees’ most urgent needs as they adapt to changing circumstances.
