Connect and Collaborate

The LaGuardia Co-op is a new Student Technology Center designed for students to connect and collaborate around the use of technology through a variety of specialized resources, events, and workshops described below. For general information about the Co-op and other STCs, refer to the Student Technology Centers home page.

The space is also home to the Campus Coding Collaborative, which focuses on the development of new applications meant to improve the student experience at NYU.  C3 also hosts a variety of student events, such as hackathons, innovation fairs, and workshops.

Computer Stations  

Self-service MAC and PC workstations are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. To check seat availability before your visit, see the Live Computer Availability Map.

Collaboration Space

As part of our Connect and Collaborate mission, the Collaboration Space provides students with a dynamic co-working space in which to engage with emerging technology, from console gaming to workshops. Reserve this space for tech-related events and student club/organization meetups/events.

Demo Space

As part of our Connect and Collaborate mission, the Demo Space is a reservable co-working space in the Co-op designed for video conferencing, group meetups, lectures, and other technology-related events.

Accessories Lending

The Co-Op’s lending service allows students to check out various tech accessories for use in the space. Lendable items are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: All lendables are only to be used within the LaGuardia Co-op and cannot be removed from the space.

Gaming/VR

The Co-op houses several gaming consoles and virtual reality capabilities students may use for development, demonstrations, and recreation. If you are interested in playing the console games, please come during the Co-op's open hours, and exchange your NYU ID for a controller. Gaming is open for use when there is no programming running in the Teamwork Space.

A/V Recording Booths

The Co-op’s two A/V Recording Booths (VRB) provide specialized equipment and software that enable students to record videos of presentations, interviews, and group projects, as well as voice over work.

Classroom Space

The Co-op Classroom space is designed for a collaborative tech experience that can be configured to a number of teaching settings. Events/Workshops

The Co-op hold events and workshops each semester that are built around enhancing student learning through emerging technology. Past workshops and events have included 3D modeling, 3D scanning, Unity, VR, and more. All events are open to current degree-seeking students.
