What is a Learning Portfolio?

The Learning Portfolio tool can help meet diverse goals.

Learning Portfolio is a collection of artifacts that provides direct evidence of an individual’s learning, mastery, or accomplishments over time.

1. Learning Portfolios can help students market their skills for future employers, and graduate programs, by organizing and presenting their work.

2. Learning Portfolios can track and assess student mastery of learning objectives at both the course and program level.

3. Articulated student learning outcomes can be mapped to particular courses and / or assignments. The rubrics feature is useful to assess student work.

4. Records and data in Learning Portfolios can also be used to complement your accreditation efforts.
