Become an IT Student Adviser

Do you have ideas on how to improve technology at NYU? Join the NYU IT Student Advisers Group to contribute to IT decisions and designs, while building your resume and working with executive leadership.

As a Student Adviser to NYU IT, you will contribute to different areas of IT:

  • Making the services that NYU IT provides to the NYU community easier to use
  • Creating positive digital experiences for the NYU student body
  • NYU IT projects like the evaluation of a new learning management system (LMS) for the University

Events may include bug bashes (where you try to break our software), focus groups, usability testing, and more. NYU IT knows that your studies come first—once you sign up, you get to select the opportunities that work with your schedule.

Hear from Student Advisers Group participants:

"Giving feedback on future technology implementations has been exciting because it allows me to know that NYU IT is really looking to enhance the student experience here at NYU." - David Makoso
"Collaborating with NYU IT has been a fulfilling experience because together we've made significant changes which benefit the entire student body." - Quentin Turner
