NYU's 17th
Presidential Inauguration

Linda G. Mills, JD, LCSW, PhD, an NSF- and NIJ-funded social scientist, award-winning filmmaker, and the Lisa Ellen Goldberg Professor of Social Work, Public Policy, and Law, will be inaugurated as the 17th president of New York University on October 17, 2023. Join us to mark this historic moment. Events throughout inauguration week will convene our university community to celebrate, to connect, and to write NYU’s next chapter — together.

Ceremony

Tuesday, October 17, 2023
11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

President Mills’ inauguration will showcase the wisdom and talent within our community and more. The program includes music and remarks by notable guests as well as special performances by NYU students and alumni. An invitation is required to attend the ceremony. Seats are limited. Invitations have been sent to select students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Additional seats will become available in the fall on a first-come, first-served basis. Community-Wide Reception

Tuesday, October 17, 2023
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

All members of the NYU community are invited to celebrate this inauguration occasion at a reception immediately following the ceremony. The reception will be held at the Commons on the second floor of the John A. Paulson Center. Light refreshments will be served.
