Whether you are a student, faculty, administrator, or staff, everyone has a role in advancing global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access. In order to make sustainable change—at NYU and beyond—everyone must commit to taking action to address legacies of systemic oppressions and other structural inequities. The NYU BeTogether Ambassadors program provides a framework for those seeking greater opportunities to get involved.
Join to receive the latest updates and guidance for how to take action to transform our campus and to create globally connected inclusive communities—through monthly convenings and briefings within a network of BeTogether Ambassadors across NYU.
1. Attend monthly community meetings
Receive updates on the most recent programs and initiatives, learn more about model practices, programs, and policies, and engage with and learn about each other's experiences as ambassadors across the university. Ambassadors are expected to attend monthly community meetings when possible.
2. Read monthly BeTogether briefings
Receive monthly BeTogether briefings with resources and guidance for how to take action to create globally connected inclusive communities. Briefing emails will include a short list of concrete actions that student, staff, and faculty BeTogether Ambassadors can take to advance global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access.
3. Promote BeTogether programs and initiatives
Promote programs and initiatives with friends and colleagues via your social media accounts, email, or in day-to-day conversations. Share and explain to others what BeTogether is and how they can get involved. Ambassadors will receive talking points, guidance for what to promote, and coaching for how to talk about the work via the community meetings and briefings. Tell three friends about BeTogether and invite them to join you in this work!
Students, faculty, administrators, and staff from all global NYU campuses and site are invited to complete an application today! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through the academic year. More information about the BeTogether Ambassadors program for alumni coming soon.
