Centers and Communities
Inclusion, diversity, belonging, and equity are the central pillars of our office’s mission and values, values that we hope to infuse in every aspect of the University. In our continued effort to strengthen these pillars—and to better serve the individual communities that come together to form the NYU community—the Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation’s work includes an ever-growing number of centers and communities across the University.
Through these partnerships, members of the NYU community can connect with peers and learn from community members who are thought-leaders and innovators in their areas of expertise. Visit the centers, connect with communities, and experience the support of a university that’s constantly striving to become more inclusive, diverse, welcoming, and equitable.
Global Inclusion Centers
Center for Multicultural Education and Programs
The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) provides the University with a vast array of educational and program opportunities dedicated to engaging, supporting, and empowering students of color and those of marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds—and to fostering a more inclusive, aware, and socially just community.
LGBTQ+ Center
The LGBTQ+ Center creates a welcoming environment in which students, faculty, staff, and alumni can engage with and develop their understanding of LGBTQ+ communities through programs, events, learning and development, support, resource sharing, and consultation.
