Kohtaro Kosugiyama (Liberal Studies '20)

Kohtaro’s involvement on campus has centered IDBE initiatives at NYU and a commitment to build community across difference. Some key accomplishments and involvement on campus include serving as: a chair of the Liberal Studies student task force for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Student Outreach Assistant at the Office of Global Programs managing the Global Equity Fellows program and focusing on outreach to underrepresented students studying away; and a former Global Equity Fellow at NYU Madrid.

Hui-Ling Sunshine Malone (Steinhardt '20)

Among Hui-Ling's most noteworthy contributions has been her groundbreaking work with the Youth Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality, a youth justice platform that serves vulnerable Black and Brown youth and created to stimulate the ongoing development of students and teachers within the nested ecologies of schools and communities leveraging education research for racial equity, social intervention, and participatory innovation.
